Neither Uber or Lyft pays for a driver’s gas. It all comes out of the drivers own pocket.
2. Drivers don’t make a penny during the Drive to pick you up.
Drivers really don’t make crap when picking you up, especially when the pick up is far away. So, make sure to think about the next time you have a driver who drives thirty or more minutes to pick you up.
3. Drivers aren’t compensated for automobile Wear and tear
Most drivers use their own personal car for Uber and Lyft. Which makes them reliable for everything.
4. Drivers don’t make a dime waiting for you to come to the car
Just like a driver on their way to pick you up, they don’t make a penny to wait for you. So, make sure to be ready when your driver arrives.
5. The fare you see is not the fare the driver receives
Just because you paid a certain amount for the trip doesn’t the driver made even close to that amount. This especially true for higher fares or longer trips.
6. Tipping Is A Message Of Respect
It definitely is a sign a respect. Also, look at it this way if you are going out to eat. Do you tip your waitress or waiter? Well at least hope you do. Well, why not tip your driver even if it’s only a dollar or two? Now if there a crappy driver than yes, we totally understand you not tipping them.
