It is becoming more common with riders to use fake names instead of their real ones.
The problem with this is Uber and Lyft drivers are screened unlike riders. See riders don’t have to use a credit card to pay, they can use a gift card, or PayPal. So, in other words there are cases where Uber and Lyft don’t even know who the rider really is.
Most drivers won’t accept rides from riders with fake names and will either decline the trip or cancel it when they accept. Riders may feel it’s funny and cool. However, it’s really a safety thing for drivers.
For we know nothing about our riders besides their name. Where they know a lot about us, what we look, make and model of car license plate and more.
So, riders please stop for the only thing you are doing is making it where not many drivers will be willing to pick you up.
