For those Uber drivers who have a car with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you can use it to your advantage.
When pressing on pit stop on the map it will pause rides and only show you gas stations and restaurants on the app. However, on the CarPlay or Android Auto app for Uber drivers it will still show a live map along with active surges. If a surge is nearby you can drive to it while pausing rides, and un pause when under the surge.
