How dashers can unassign themselves from an order on DoorDash

If you have already accepted an order but no longer want to complete the delivery, you can unassign the order by doing the following.

For Dashers With Android

  • Click the ? button in the top right-hand corner of the Dasher app.
  • Under Picking Up, tap Unassign this delivery.
  • Select a reason for why you are unassigning the delivery.

For Dashers With iOS

  • Click the help button in the top right-hand corner of the Dasher app.
  • Select Can’t do this order?.
  • Select a reason why you are unassigning the delivery.
  • Slick Submit Request/Submit.
  • Click Continue to confirm the unassignment.

What To Do If You’ve already Arrived At The Merchant

  • Tap the ? in the top right-hand corner of the app.
  • Select I have an issue.
  • Select the most accurate option from the list.
  • Tap Unassign with no pay.
