How Does It Work For Kango Drivers
Driving windows are more limited. However, Kango lets drivers optimize their schedules with additional caregiving duties. Schedules are also planned in advance and offer the flexibility of working as both a driver and sitter.
Requirements To Become A Kango Driver/Caregiver
- Driver candidates must be over 21
- Vehicles must be model year 2012 or later
- 3+ years of childcare experience + Trustline Certification with fingerprinting

Before you a driver or sitter is approved to work for Kango they must pass everything in the list below.
- Trustline certification in California (includes fingerprinting)
- Background (includes criminal and sex offender searches from multiple states, counties and databases as well as check for multiple aliases)
- DMV check (from multiple states, counties, and databases)
- Vehicle inspection
- Two reference checks
- In-person interview
