How Does Turo Work For Host?

1. Listing your car

Listing a car on Turo requires hosts to provide the vehicle’s:

  • License plate number
  • Make, model, and year
  • Vehicle Identification Number (or VIN), if applicable
  • Appearance in the form of at least one high-quality photo
  • Written description

2. Pricing your car

Host can either set their own price or use the Turo calculator to find a fair rental price for their car. The online tool will ask for your car’s make, model, and year, as well as your rental location.

3. Responding to vehicle requests

As a host you will have between 30 minutes and eight hours to respond to rental request. You can either approve or deny it based on the information provided by the potential rent. If you should approve the request it will go into your schedule. The car will also become unavailable for the rental period.

4. Dropping off the car to guests

On the first day of the rental, you will drop off the car at the agree location. You can either leave the car there to be picked up remotely or mee the renter to deliver the keys.

Note: Host are able to set up a preferred pick up and drop off location in their car’s listing.

5. Picking up the car from guests

Once the rental is over you will meet the guest at the pick-up location and get your car back.

Requirements To Become A Host

  • 21 or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance on the vehicle
  • Meet local legal requirements for renting out car.
