Uber has now made it possible for riders to request a ride by phone. Riders can call 1-833-USE-UBER to request a ride in the US where Uber is available. You can use this service 7 days a week, from 4am – 10pm EST.
How It Works
- Dial 1-833-USE-UBER (1-833-873-8237) from your cell phone to talk to an Uber team member who will help you request a ride.
- Note: You will need to call from a cell phone that can receive text messages.
- After your phone call, Uber will send you the information on your ride via text message, including your driver’s name, and picture, car type, license plate number, and their estimated time of arrival.
- Uber will send you a text message when your driver arrives.
- Once the ride is complete Uber will charge your card.
