One thing we unfortunately see the most is Uber and Lyft passengers sending out request for their friends. Which is fine, however, if your friend is so intoxicated that can’t walk by themselves or have no clue what’s going on its best that you ride along with them to make sure they get home safe. You can also use the multiple stop feature to have the driver take you back after dropping off your friend.
Yes, we know you’re out having fun at the bar or club and really don’t want to deal with them. But the thing is putting them in an Uber or Lyft by themselves when there this intoxicated, puts them and the driver at risk. For we are sure you’ve read or seen the news stories of rideshare drivers taking advantage of passengers who are heavily intoxicated. It’s also not the driver’s job to take care or babysit your friend who are highly intoxicated, drivers are there to get you from point a to point b.
So, be a good friend and take the ride with them to make sure they get home safe. Then, have the driver take you back to wherever they picked you up from.
