Something you have to realize with New Year’s Eve, is a lot of different companies will be offering free rides from Law Firms, Hotels and more. Plus, there will be a lot of fellow Uber and Lyft drivers out to. Now yes it can be profitable, just might not as profitable as Uber and Lyft tell you it can be.
However, it all really depends what type of market you drive in. If you should drive in a bigger market like Denver, Dallas, or Indianapolis, you have better chance to maximize your earnings. Unlike in smaller markets where you will have more competition. So, if you should live close to a bigger market city maybe a good idea to drive up there for the night.

Stay Away From The Crowd
Something we’ve always preached to drivers is stay away from the other drivers. On New Year’s Eve we always had the best of luck away from the downtown club scene.
Vomit Bags and Cleaning Supplies
Make sure to have plenty of vomits bags and cleaning supplies with you in your car for you will defiantly need them if someone should get sick.
Pay attention to the other drivers on the road
Even with all the free rides, there will unfortunately still be people out there who choose to drink and drive. So, keep an eye out for the other drivers on the road.
