Well, if you should unfortunately have this happen. First, make sure you and your riders are okay, along with the driver of the other car.
Once you report the accident to Uber, they will deactivate your account and ask for you to take pictures of all four sides of your car. Once you have done that, and there is not sufficient damage to your car that could make it unsafe for you to drive passengers around. They will reactivate your account.
Uber’s insurance will reach out to you, to get your take on what happened along with ask if you have any dash cam footage from the accident and if the other person’s insurance has reached out to you. Just make sure to let them know you are not looking for them to cover the damage.
Note: If the accident should be your fault Uber will ask you to reach out to your insurance first.
