When a shopper is working on your order, you can chat with them about changes to your order.
How To Chat With Shopper
On The App
Open the Instacart app while your order is in progress.
- Tap the 3 stacked horizontal lines in the upper left corner
- Tap Your orders
- Tap the current order
- When your current order screen appears, tap the chat bubble icon in the upper right corner
- Send your message
- If you have turned on in-app notifications, you’ll receive an alert when your personal shopper replies.
On The Website
Log in to instacart.com.
- At the top right, click either Account or Hi, [Your Name]
- Click Your Orders
- Click View order detail on the current order
- Click Leave a message for your shopper here!
- To view replies, keep the page open on your browser
How To Review Chats On Previous Orders
Once an order is complete, you can review the messages between you and your shopper on the app or website.
On The App
- Tap the 3 stacked horizontal lines in the upper left corner
- Tap Your orders
- Tap the order you want to view
- Scroll down and tap Chat log
On The Website
- How to chat with your Instacart shopper at the top right, click either Account or Hi, [Your Name]
- Click Your Orders
- Find the order and click View order detail
- Click Chat log (located under Delivery Details on the right side of your screen)
