How Does Riders Share Work For Riders?
- Pick a bike, a damage waiver option and then request a booking. You will receive the owner email and phone number.
- The owner has 48 hours to approve, if they don’t approve within that time Riders Share will refund you 100%.
- Once approved the exact location of the bike will be revealed, along with important info via an email from Riders Share
- On ride day you will meet with the owner, show your license (and passport if non-US), document preexisting damage on the bike, get the keys and get going! Make sure to be safe and wear a helmet.
- Remember, only YOU can ride the bike. Do not lend it to anyone else.
- Make sure the bike’s steering wheel is always locked when you are not riding it. If available, always use the wheel lock too.
- Upon return, document the bike again for damage. Call the number on the insurance card for claims if you purchased insurance
Requirements To Rent On Riders Share
- 21 or older
- Credit Card only
- Valid motorcycle license (or equivalent), unless the vehicle does not require it. Riders Share doesn’t take temporary licenses unless you have had a prior motorcycle license before.
- Background check to look at your driving record and credit score.
What Is Riders Share Rider Pass?
Its Riders Share subscription service that provides a 35% discount for rides booked on Riders Share and free motorcycle rental delivery up to $50.
The subscription service is perfect for those who want to try multiple bikes, frequent travelers and for ex riders that can’t commit to a single motorcycle.
How Does Riders Share Work For Owners?
After users pick a bike, they’d like to rent, they can message the owners and send a booking request. When a renter registers with Riders Share, a background check and credit check will be processed.
Once an owner and renter have agreed on terms, the owner has 48 hours to approve the booking request. Renters may cancel the booking with no penalty prior to approval. After an owner approves a booking, renters receive their contact info, including exact location and phone number.
Requirements To Rent Motorcycle, Scooter, Or Trike On Riders Share
- Newer than 20 years old.
- Street Legal.
- Clean titled (not Salvage).
- Properly registered and meets minimum state requirements.
- Well maintained and not a danger to the rider.
