Requirements To Rent On Getaround
- Renters must be at least 19 years old to reserve standard vehicles.​
- Renters must be at least 25 years old if:
- You’re reserving a Tesla or other specialty vehicle.
- You’re and international driver.
- You’re a driver from, Hawaii, Alaska, Or Canada.
- You have no major violations or drug or alcohol-related offenses in the past three to seven years.
- You have no more than two driving violations or accidents in the past three years.
- If you’re under 21 years old, you must have a clean driving record with no violations or accidents in the past three years.
- You must have been licensed for at least two years.
- You have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- You must pass an instant driver record check when you make your first reservation.
- You have a Facebook account for verification purposes.
What Is A Getaround Host?
A Getaround host is a person who lists their personal car on the Getaround platform, allowing other users to rent it by the hour or day.
