So, you’re interested in becoming a Dog Walker for Wag!? Well, here’s everything you need to know about becoming a Dog Walker For Wag!.
Sign Up Process To Be A Walker
Below is a step-by-step guide to the application process for walking with Wag! This process could take anywhere from a day to 3 weeks.
Step 1:
All applicants must complete the Wag! Pup Quiz and submit a short Bio. Once you have submitted your Quiz and Bio, you will receive an email letting you know whether we are moving forward with your application.
Step 2:
If you receive a passing score on our quiz, you will receive an email to continue your Wag! Application via our portal. This is also where you can come back to check the status of your application at any time.
Step 3:
You will receive an email with a link to pay the $29.95 Walker Application Platform Fee which covers the administrative costs of an in-depth review and vetting process. It is not refundable for any reason. You will also have the option to order a Wag! T-shirt at this point for the cost of shipping ($5).
Step 4:
Once you have completed your registration, you’ll need to provide some information about yourself for verification and evaluation. Evident, one of our third-party vendors, will send you an email with a link to submit your personal information and upload a Profile Photo. It may take a few days to receive this email. Some applicants find this email in their spam folder so be sure to check there as well!
You will be asked to submit your Social Security Number, a Selfie image, and an image of your United States Identification (A Driver’s License, US Passport, or US State ID).
Step 5:
After you have submitted your information successfully, you will receive an email to electronically sign your Pet Care Provider Platform Use Agreement via our application portal. Please check your Spam folder for this email as well if you have not received it within 24 hours of submitting your information.
Step 6:
Now Wag! will complete the final review of your personal information. You will receive a notice via email once their review is completed. No need to worry if you do not immediately hear back from them. For this review generally takes a few days to complete and sometimes it could take up to three weeks.
Step 7:
After your review is finished and you have been approved. You will receive an email from Wag! on how to download the app and activate your walker.

How It Works For Dog Walkers
Walkers are able to make their own schedule, walking as little or as much as they’d like. The app offers a flat rate for walks, so there is no need to negotiate pricing with dog owners.
Once the walk is complete, you will write out a detailed report card with notes on how the walk went. Letting the owner know how the walk went is import, since in most cases you will never meet the owner face-to-face. You can also contact the owner through the app during the walk if you should have any questions.
Requirements To Become A Dog Walker
- Be over 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Pass a safety quiz and background check
- Have previous training experience and complete an assessment, if you want to book training jobs
- Live in a residence that allows pets, if you plan to board dogs in your home
- Once approved, download the Wag Walker app on an iPhone or Android phone
