When on a Military Base and ordering food from delivery apps don’t assume the driver knows what the restrictions are, know what gate to go through, or that they have a pass. It’s on the customer to make sure the driver is able to make the delivery.
Listed below are two different approaches customers can take when having food delivered to military bases.
- Mark the first name as “NEED BASE ACCESS”. Doing this will give you the highest chance of it being cancelled by drivers who can’t get on base before they arrive at the restaurant.
- Text and ask if the driver has base access.
- If a driver can’t get on base tell them what entrance to meet you at and pick it up from there.
- If you can’t meet the driver at the gate or they can’t get on ask them to cancel the order. The driver will then have to call support to explain so they’re not reprimanded.
