New DoorDash Dashers

With Dash Along the Way dashers can make the most of their time on the road by delivering orders on their way to a nearby zone.

DoorDash issues a credit card that you drivers use at all non-partner restaurants. At partner restaurants (indicated on the app), you don’t have to worry about payment and all you have to do is go pick up the food. Drivers aren’t allowed to open the containers to check the accuracy of the orders since they aren’t licensed food handlers, but they can still do a rough check to make sure the quantities line up and the receipt matches the app.

DoorDash’s Red Card is a credit card that Dashers use to pay for some (but not all) DoorDash orders. Each Dasher receives a Red Card during orientation or when they receive an Activation Kit.

With DoorDash’s batched orders, Dashers are allowed to quickly complete two or more orders in less time than usual. Most of the time batched orders are picked up at the same restaurant, which increases a Dash’s earnings and efficiency.

With the Dasher Delivery Preference, Dashers in select markets can select which delivery offers they’d like to receive on DoorDash.
