Uber sent out emails to drivers in certain markets that there wait-time policy is changing. With these changes drivers will receive a higher wait-time fee if there is a surge in their area. Uber is also extending the no-show window from 5 to 7 minutes for UberX, UberXL, and Uber Green trips. With this new policy drivers who refuse to wait will have to wait longer then they would’ve for their rider to get another trip request.
