During bad storms and other events there will be fewer drivers available on the road. Causing riders to wait longer for a ride, some riders could even wait over an hour before they finally get a driver to pick them up.

During times like this, we recommend riders use the schedule trip feature that is available on both the Uber and Lyft app.
Note: You are able to schedule a ride five minutes before you need to be picked up.
Using this feature during busy times will automatically put you in Uber or Lyft’s queue. So, when a driver does become available you will be first in line, for scheduled trips take priority over another request.

Watch our videos below on how scheduled a ride on the apps:

Note: When scheduling a ride, a driver could show up later than your scheduled pick-up time or they could show up thirty minutes before pick up time.
